  • Primary Responsibilities:
  • Offer strategic counsel and assistance to Woodlands personnel and leadership to further Canfor's Indigenous Engagement Strategy.
  • Work alongside Woodlands staff to guarantee streamlined approval procedures for operational plans and permits.
  • Establish protocols and agreements with Indigenous groups while nurturing relationships with Indigenous leaders and organizations.
  • Ensure uniformity and best practices throughout the organization in engaging with Indigenous communities.
  • Facilitate outreach initiatives and pinpoint partnership opportunities within the region.

Qualified applicants will demonstrate exceptional communication abilities, experience in conflict resolution, and a robust background in collaborating with Indigenous communities. A degree in Indigenous studies or natural resource management is advantageous, along with familiarity with the forestry sector.
