Position Overview

We are in search of a Job Coach to join our team, focusing on empowering job seekers with disabilities or mental health challenges. In this role, you will be responsible for providing tailored support to help individuals navigate their employment journey, from skill development to job placement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Workshop Development: Design and enhance training materials for individual and group sessions.
  • Participant Support: Offer continuous, individualized assistance throughout the program, including resume crafting and interview coaching.
  • Facilitation: Conduct workshops and one-on-one meetings, both in-person and online, emphasizing practical skills and career advancement.
  • Job Placement: Aid participants in setting employment objectives, securing job placements, and providing on-site support during work experiences.
  • Administrative Duties: Maintain communication with participants, track progress, and manage necessary documentation.
  • Accessibility: Assess work environments for accessibility and support the implementation of assistive technologies.
  • Employer Relations: Build and sustain partnerships with employers and contribute to program development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in supporting individuals with disabilities or in employment services.
  • Proven ability to mentor and assist individuals with empathy and active listening.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in leading workshops is preferred.
  • Understanding of learning disabilities is beneficial.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in community outreach.
  • Background in developing educational materials.
  • Knowledge of inclusive practices and trauma-informed care.

Soft Skills

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
