Main Responsibilities and Skills:

As a vital member of the Project Controls team, the Intermediate Planner/Scheduler will collaborate closely with various teams, leaders, and project managers to facilitate effective and proactive management of project plans and timelines. This role demands a strong dedication to excellence in the development and support of cost control and project management systems, processes, resources, and tools. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting logic analysis
  • Performing variance analysis
  • Ensuring compliance with safety requirements for site visits
  • Managing daily scheduling and maintenance tasks
  • Resource allocation and loading
  • Executing additional duties as assigned
  • Analyzing schedule trends and impacts
  • Conducting in-depth what-if scenario analyses

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in planning and scheduling within engineering and consulting environments
  • Bachelor’s or Graduate degree in a relevant field
  • Field experience and construction planning are advantageous
  • Proficient in MS Excel for analysis and reporting
  • Skilled in P6 Primavera Project Management
  • Background in Heavy Oil / SAGD projects is preferred but not mandatory
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality while maintaining a comprehensive project perspective
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and influencing skills
