Job Summary

Hewitt (Brockville) Ltd. is seeking an experienced Electrical Mechanic to join our team. As an Electrical Mechanic, you will be responsible for testing and observing electrical and mechanical conditions of equipment, using machining tools to fabricate or recondition parts, and replacing or reconditioning shafts, bearings, commutators, and other components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Test and observe electrical and mechanical conditions of equipment to ensure proper performance
  • Use machining tools to fabricate or recondition parts as needed
  • Replace or recondition shafts, bearings, commutators, and other components to maintain equipment efficiency
  • Wind, assemble, and install various types of coils to meet equipment requirements
  • Perform machining to recondition or modify shafts, commutators, or other parts as necessary
  • Test and repair or replace faulty wiring or components in electrical switchgear to ensure safe and efficient operation
  • Test repaired motors, transformers, switchgear, or other electrical apparatus to ensure proper performance
