About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Mechanic to join our team at Hewitt (Brockville) Ltd. as a key member of our maintenance and repair team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Testing and Maintenance: Conduct thorough tests and observations of electrical and mechanical conditions of equipment to identify areas for improvement and ensure optimal performance.
  • Machining and Fabrication: Utilize machining tools to fabricate or recondition parts, ensuring precise and accurate results.
  • Component Replacement and Repair: Replace or recondition shafts, bearings, commutators, and other components as needed, adhering to strict quality control standards.
  • Coil Assembly and Installation: Wind, assemble, and install various types of coils, ensuring proper alignment and secure fastening.
  • Machining and Modification: Perform some machining to recondition or modify shafts, commutators, or other parts, as required.
  • Electrical Switchgear Repair: Test and repair or replace faulty wiring or components in electrical switchgear, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
  • Performance Testing: Test repaired motors, transformers, switchgear, or other electrical apparatus to ensure proper performance and functionality.
