About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Mechanic to join our team at Hewitt (Brockville) Ltd. As an Electrical Mechanic, you will be responsible for testing and observing electrical and mechanical conditions of equipment, using machining tools to fabricate or recondition parts, and replacing or reconditioning shafts, bearings, commutators, and other components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Test and observe electrical and mechanical conditions of equipment
  • Use machining tools to fabricate or recondition parts
  • Replace or recondition shafts, bearings, commutators, and other components
  • Wind, assemble, and install various types of coils
  • Perform some machining to recondition or modify shafts, commutators, or other parts
  • Test and repair or replace faulty wiring or components in electrical switchgear
  • Test repaired motors, transformers, switchgear, or other electrical apparatus to ensure proper performance
Requirements
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience
