About the Role

Definity Financial Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Vendor Management Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing our claims vendor partners, ensuring their performance meets our high standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective vendor management strategies to improve performance, drive customer experience, and create commercial value.
  • Oversee multiple external vendor relationships, ensuring they align with our business objectives and meet our quality standards.
  • Support the development and implementation of our claims vendor management guidelines, including vendor governance, performance management, and innovation opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Claims Leadership Team to translate department strategies into actionable plans for vendor performance and selection.
  • Represent the business interests in partnerships, clearly articulating performance expectations and the total value proposition to vendor partners and key stakeholders.
  • Oversee strategic workforce management, including resource planning, retention management, succession management, and informing Definity's recruiting strategy.
Requirements
  • University degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of vendor management programs and processes.
  • 5-10 years of progressive experience in Vendor Management and/or Procurement functions.
  • Demonstrated experience in Vendor Performance Models, partner segmentation, and governance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain business relationships.
  • Highly adaptable, with the ability to perform through periods of change and transition.
  • Experience working on high-performance teams and insurance operations experience is an asset.
