About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team at Seaway Hyundai. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction by providing exceptional repair and maintenance services for our customers' vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Repair and Maintenance: Diagnose and repair complex issues with commercial transport trucks, automotive systems, and truck-trailer systems.
  • Inspect and Test Mechanical Units: Conduct thorough inspections and tests to identify faults and malfunctions, and perform repairs and replacements as needed.
  • Estimate and Provide Quotes: Accurately estimate parts and labor costs for vehicle maintenance and repairs, and provide clear and concise quotes to customers.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with customers, advising them on work performed and future repair requirements, and ensuring their vehicles are returned in excellent condition.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure seamless service delivery and meet customer expectations.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and techniques in the industry, and participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Skills: Excellent mechanical skills, attention to detail, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Certifications: Valid driver's license and any relevant certifications or licenses required by law.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position with a regular 40-44 hour workweek. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks effectively, and maintain a high level of productivity while meeting deadlines.

Language and Work Environment

This position requires fluency in English and the ability to work in a team environment. The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and management, and will be comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
