Job Title: Integration Specialist Developer

Job Summary:

Humber River Health is seeking an experienced Integration Specialist Developer to join our IT Development division. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the integration of healthcare systems, providing technical expertise in data translation, and implementing interfaces using HL7, JSON, and XML standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement complex data integration projects using HL7, JSON, and XML messaging standards
  • Develop and troubleshoot API protocols and programming using XML, JSON, SWL, Java/Jee,.NET Programming, and frameworks
  • Analyze and develop solutions using HL7 Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR)
  • Design and implement interfaces using Biztalk Engine, Tcl/TK, XML, X12, TCP/IP, SSL, FTP, Web Services, Java script, Perl, Cache Object Script
  • Collaborate with the team to design and execute queries upon request for data
  • Manage security issues, permission, updates, and maintenance of Biztalk
  • Provide mentorship and support to other team members in the development, implementation, and testing of integration projects

Requirements:

  • BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent amount of education and work experience
  • Certificate in Project management an asset
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in hospital information with an understanding of translating data from one system to another, interfacing techniques system workflow, working knowledge of data feeds and integration engine technologies
  • In-depth knowledge of SharePoint Online architecture, capabilities, and limitations
  • Proficiency in configuring and customizing SharePoint Online using Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI)
  • 3+ years knowledge of SQL queries, SQL server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
  • Experience working in a hospital setting preferred
  • 3+ years knowledge of Oracle, Cystal Reporting or SQL Server Databases
  • Strong experience with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Experience with Meditech Data Repository an asset
  • Hands-on knowledge of Health Level 8 (HL7) an asset
