About the Role

Renaud Consulting IM/IT Solutions is seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead our IT projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Facilitate daily scrums, sprint planning, sprint review, and sprint retrospective meetings to ensure the team is aligned and working towards common goals.
  2. Work closely with the Agile team to plan the next sets of work items for the next sprint, based on the pre-defined work items workflow.
  3. Forecast the number of deliverables such as artifacts in an iteration (sprint).
  4. Ensure that artifacts and other products are delivered on time.
  5. Ensure that all artifacts achieved during the sprint are presented at the sprint review.
  6. Process conflict resolution among team members.
  7. Communicate and ensure that the Agile team adheres to the Agile principles and standards set forward by Global Affairs Canada's subject matter experts.
  8. Shield the team from outside influences.
  9. Track and remove impediments known as roadblocks with the Agile team.
  10. Perform knowledge transfer to the Agile team regarding Agile techniques like user stories, continuous integration, ATDD, TDD, continuous testing, pairing, automated testing, and Agile games.
  11. Perform knowledge transfer to the Agile team regarding work items/tasks, backlog tracking, burndown, metrics, velocity, user stories, scale Agile framework (SAFe), etc.
  12. Ascertain, analyze, manage, and resolve risk-related issues.
  13. Produce performance metrics and progress monitoring reports.
  14. Coach team members in Agile frameworks and guide the team to higher levels of Scrum maturity.
  15. Manage project timelines, budgets, and maintain costs to remain within or under budget.
  16. Coordinate sprints, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.
  17. Work with product owners to handle backlog grooming and new requests.
  18. Work closely with software/web developers, architects, business analysts, designers, and the client's representative to define the direction and approach to project design and execution.
  19. Facilitate internal communications and be the point of contact with external stakeholders.
  20. Estimate and track project velocity, costs, develop resource plans, and work to assess potential issues and risks.
  21. Resolve conflicts, remove obstacles, and help teams implement changes effectively.
  22. Perform Scrum techniques and artifacts (such as definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement).
  23. Estimate project costs, set deadlines, and effectively manage teams of professionals to meet deadlines.
  24. Mobile development, web development, or multi-tech platform implementation.
  25. Document roadblocks, bugs, and other project issues in the context of a business intelligence, data warehouse, or analytics project.
  26. Identify, analyze, and document project risks for a business intelligence, data warehouse, or analytics project.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following qualifications:

  1. Meet the SENIOR level with a minimum of 10 years of cumulative experience.
  2. Or 5+ years of experience with a recognized professional certification as defined in the TBIPS SA for the resource category (P.9) Project Manager.
  3. Must demonstrate that the proposed Senior Project Manager resource holds certification.
  4. An Agile Scrum Master certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI), or The Agile Alliance, or Scrum.org.
  5. Must demonstrate using detailed project descriptions that the proposed SENIOR level Project Manager resource has Five (5) years of experience within the last Ten (10) years in an IM/IT environment as of bid closing performing the following task:
  6. Producing Agile artifacts, including the sprint and product backlog, for a (business intelligence, data warehouse) or analytics project.
  7. Must demonstrate using detailed project descriptions that the proposed SENIOR level Project Manager resource has minimum of Three (3) projects within the last Ten (10) years in an IM/IT environment as of bid closing performing the following task:
  8. Documenting roadblocks, bugs, and other project issues, in the context of a (business intelligence, data warehouse) or analytics project.
  9. Must demonstrate using detailed project descriptions that the proposed SENIOR level Project Manager resource has minimum of Three (3) projects within the last Ten (10) years in an IM/IT environment as of bid closing performing the following task:
  10. Identifying, analyzing, and documenting project risks, for a business intelligence, data warehouse, or analytics project.
  11. MUST CURRENTLY HOLD VALID GOVERNMENT SECRET CLEARANCE
