Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems and Citrix Administrator to join our Managed Services team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing third-level support for troubleshooting user access, system availability, and performance issues with core infrastructure systems.
Key Responsibilities- Infrastructure Support: Provide expert-level support for troubleshooting user access, system availability, and performance issues with core infrastructure systems, including Virtual Apps and Virtual Desktops, Cloud Services, Citrix, and NetScaler.
- Process Optimization: Identify, review, and revise server administration processes and procedures to ensure optimal levels of support.
- Research and Analysis: Research, analyze, and recommend changes for future system growth by utilizing industry-standard monitoring and research tools.
- Security Management: Recommend security management practices, including the promotion of awareness on current threats, auditing of server logs, and following established security standards.
- Active Directory Management: Provide and maintain Windows Active Directory infrastructure in a large enterprise environment.
- Azure and M365 Administration: Administer and manage Azure and M365 base applications.
- Documentation and Standards: Prepare and maintain detailed documentation and standards diagrams.
- Health Checks and Reporting: Provide guidance in the completion of health checks and performance and capacity reporting.
- Task Ownership: Take ownership of all assigned tasks and drive to resolution, researching and escalating to vendors as necessary.
- Mentorship and Expertise: Act as a subject matter expert and mentor to other team members, as assigned, and develop internal certification criteria and curriculum.
- ITSM Compliance: Enforce and follow company ITSM policies, procedures, and best practices.
- After-Hours Support: Provide after-hours and on-call support.
- Education: A Computer Science degree or equivalent in real-world experience (5-7+ years).
- Citrix and NetScaler Experience: Solid experience in managing Citrix and NetScaler in HA configuration.
- Microsoft System Center Experience: Experience with Microsoft System Center SCCM and SCOM monitoring.
- Azure and M365 Expertise: Superior knowledge of Microsoft Azure, InTune, ATP (SCEP), Cloud Computing, Microsoft 365, and MFA.
- Windows Operating Systems: Superior understanding of Windows Operating Systems, including Active Directory Services, GPO, DNS, DHCP, clustering services, Windows Security, deployment services, DFS, and other Microsoft Infrastructure services.
- PowerShell and Scripting: Strong knowledge in PowerShell and scripting.
- VMWare Virtualization: Experience with VMWare virtualization managing 1000+ virtual servers and Citrix VDI.
- Disaster Recovery: Understanding and experience setting up Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions.
- Windows Server and Active Directory Experience: 3-5+ years of experience managing Windows server and Active Directory.
- Citrix and NetScaler Experience: 3-5+ years of experience managing Citrix and NetScaler.
- Microsoft System Center Experience: 3-4+ years of experience managing Microsoft System Center (SCCM and SCOM).
- VMWare Virtualization Experience: 2-3+ years of experience managing VMWare virtualization 6.x and 7.x.
- Technical Design and Documentation Skills: Excellent technical design and documentation skills and ability to mentor other team members and help with the design and build of various solutions.
- Backup and Recovery Processes: Strong understanding of backup and recovery processes and applications.
- Communication and Organization Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate complex ideas to a variety of audiences, as well as superior organization skills and a strong attention to detail.
- Adaptability and Analytical Skills: Willingness to learn new technologies while working in a fast-paced environment, as well as proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
- ITIL Practices: Strong understanding of ITIL practices.
- Project Management Experience: Project management experience and skills is an asset.
- Customer Service Skills: Excellent customer service skills and a strong ability to diffuse tense customer situations and project a positive, confident outlook.
