About this RoleWe are seeking an innovative, data-driven, results-oriented engineer to contribute to our continued legacy of innovation.
This position is responsible for the complete design of energy management and control systems for commercial and institutional buildings, ensuring the safety and comfort of building occupants.
Key Responsibilities- Design and integrate control systems for HVAC and mechanical equipment under a central monitoring and control system.
- Create shop-drawings, including control schematics, wiring diagrams, schedules, and bill of materials lists.
- Review project documentation and identify equipment compatibility issues and design discrepancies.
- Select materials and write sequence of operations based on HVAC principles and building codes.
- Coordinate design requirements with the Project Manager and field team to provide a cost-effective design solution.
- Manage material procurement and assist the sales team in pre-bid meetings and evaluation of tender drawings.
- Propose energy-saving opportunities to clients and conduct site visits to collaborate with clients and contractors on technical issues.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a College Diploma in Building Automation Systems, Electrical, Controls and Automation, or HVAC.
- 3+ years of experience with HVAC and/or BAS protocols, Computer Networking Systems, DDC Systems, and CAD Tools.
- 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Suite at a proficient level.
- 1+ years of experience with Building Automation System Programming.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
