Job Summary

The Desktop and Mobility Analyst plays a critical role in the administration, operation, and maintenance of desktop and mobility technologies within the Planning, Property & Development and Asset and Project Management IT divisions. This position reports to the Coordinator of Desktop and Mobility Services and is integral to the success of departmental initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the support lifecycle of departmental desktop and mobility solutions.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and analysis for the Desktop and Mobility Branch.
  • Lead or participate in project management activities related to DMS to achieve project objectives.
  • Ensure effective risk management and cybersecurity measures are in place for desktop and mobility services.
Qualifications
  • Degree in a technology-related field or equivalent experience.
  • Current A+ Certification and Microsoft365 Fundamentals Certification or similar credentials.
  • Minimum three years of experience in deploying, maintaining, and supporting computer systems, mobile devices, and related technologies.
  • Experience in customer service roles is preferred.
  • Proven ability to analyze and resolve desktop and mobility issues.
  • Leadership or project management experience is an asset.
  • Proficient in installing and updating various software applications.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify process improvements.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
  • Knowledge of modern technology trends and cybersecurity practices.
Conditions of Employment
  • Must maintain legal eligibility to work in Canada.
  • A satisfactory Police Information Check will be required.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Class 5 Manitoba Driver's License or equivalent.
