Position Overview

The Application Development Consultant (Cobol/Java/SQL) will play a crucial role in the digital transformation initiatives at CIBC. This full-time position is integral to enhancing client experiences through innovative mobile solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Application Design and Development: Lead and coordinate complex programming tasks. Architect the technical framework of applications utilizing various databases, programming languages, and testing methodologies. Drive the creation of cost-effective and inventive solutions.
  • Strategic Technology Planning: Formulate multi-year technology strategies that align with the organization’s vision and objectives. Oversee multiple intricate projects that involve backend systems and the integration of new technologies.
  • Leadership and Mentorship: Serve as the lead for the mobile development team, conducting code reviews to ensure project alignment with goals. Provide guidance and mentorship to intermediate and senior developers through collaboration and knowledge sharing.
