Job Title: Application Development Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled Application Development Consultant to join our team at the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. As a key member of our Enterprise Product, Security and Integration team, you will play a critical role in delivering innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic alignment between business, architecture, and technology teams to ensure seamless delivery of cross-functional systems.
  • Lead the overall EPSP delivery and oversee the development of solutions that align with CIBC's technology, business strategies, roadmaps, and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with design consultants to identify opportunities for enhancement and provide estimates for work effort.
  • Participate in planning and prioritization exercises and manage delivery against the plan for work packages.
  • Ensure adherence to baselined effort and dates, and conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to approved design.
  • Provide technical guidance to application development teams and recommend redesign or redevelopment as needed.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in software development and programming.
  • 5+ years of experience in product/system delivery of projects implemented at an enterprise level.
  • Demonstrated experience in Web Services, XML, Java, Object Oriented Design, JSON, and RESTful services.
  • Experience with Jenkins, Java, Jira, or Confluence, and/or other build and deploy tools is an asset.
  • Previous experience managing projects in an agile environment is an asset.
