About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team at Tricon Ontario Inc. as an Exterior and Interior Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, cleaning, and sanding surfaces to be painted, repairing cracks and holes, mixing paint to desired color and texture, and applying paint, wallpaper, and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Repair cracks and holes in surfaces, and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure surfaces are in good condition.
  • Paint Mixing and Application: Mix paint to desired color and texture, and apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces.
  • Scaffolding and Rigging: Erect scaffolding and swing stages, and attach rigging as needed to ensure safe and efficient access to work areas.
  • Quality Control: Inspect work areas to ensure surfaces are properly prepared and painted, and make adjustments as needed to ensure high-quality results.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in painting and surface preparation.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
