POSITION OVERVIEW
The Operations Supervisor plays a critical role in overseeing all operational aspects during the assigned shift. This position is essential for ensuring adherence to health and safety protocols, optimizing operational efficiency, enhancing customer relations, and fostering continuous improvement within the team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and manage labor schedules to meet production targets while adhering to budgetary constraints.
- Conduct shift briefings to communicate essential information effectively to all team members.
- Assign tasks to operators and warehouse personnel, monitoring progress and ensuring timely completion.
- Prioritize order picking based on shipment urgency and customer needs to minimize delays.
- Ensure compliance with picking and packing standards to maintain high-quality output.
- Track and report departmental performance metrics regularly, utilizing effective KPI monitoring.
- Approve labor hours daily, ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance with company policies.
- Provide constructive feedback and coaching to team members, conducting performance evaluations as necessary.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing service requirements proactively.
- Uphold a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Fulfill supervisory responsibilities as outlined in the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Undertake additional related duties as required.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of five years in distribution, with experience in third-party logistics preferred.
- At least two years in a supervisory role within a logistics environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Strong attendance and punctuality record.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
