About the Role

Cornelius Flooring is seeking a skilled Flooring Installation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our clients receive high-quality flooring installations that meet their needs and expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and measure surfaces to be covered, ensuring accurate measurements and precise installation
  • Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding to create a stable and even surface
  • Prepare flooring plans and scheduling to ensure efficient installation and minimize downtime
  • Install carpeting, resilient floor coverings, and hardwood floors to the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship
  • Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings to ensure a seamless and professional finish
  • Estimate costs and materials to ensure accurate pricing and minimize waste
  • Prepare floors for installation, removing existing coverings and contaminants as needed
Requirements
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in flooring installation
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Ability to work in a dusty environment and lift heavy materials
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
