About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Architect and Engineer to join our team at Bombardier Transportation GmbH. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our cloud infrastructure and applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement cloud infrastructure, including provisioning of compute, storage, network, and security.
  • Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning and management tasks using tools such as Terraform or Azure Resource Manager.
  • Collaborate with development teams to design and deploy cloud-native applications and services.
  • Analyze cloud systems to ensure they meet performance, security, and compliance requirements.
  • Monitor cloud systems for performance, availability, and security issues and respond to incidents or alerts.
  • Implement and manage cloud-based backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, applications, and services.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of professional experience in an IT role.
  • Certification(s) in Azure cloud solution foundations.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Experience with cloud-native application development, including the use of microservices and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Functional familiarity with infrastructure management, identity management, virtualization, and hosted services.
  • Functional understanding of cloud-based automation and management tools such as Terraform or Azure Resource Manager.
  • Familiarity with cloud security and compliance best practices.
  • Experience working collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficient in English and French both verbally and in writing.
