Our Distribution team aims to lead in client engagement within the Canadian insurance sector. We are committed to delivering a seamless and personalized experience for our clients. Our knowledgeable and trusted professionals are dedicated to providing tailored financial solutions that cater to the unique needs of our clients.

The Insurance Sales Associate I is instrumental in supporting and enhancing the agency's operations, primarily through the sales and service of Co-operators personal lines products, including auto and home insurance, while also offering basic support for additional product lines.

How You Will Create Impact:

  • Drive sales, service, and profitable growth of personal lines insurance products.
  • Advise clients on coverage options and policies that best suit their needs.
  • Identify and recommend additional products/services that may benefit clients through prospecting and cross-selling.
  • Conduct front-line risk assessments and selections in accordance with underwriting guidelines.
  • Determine which risks necessitate inspections and may be required to perform inspections.
  • Meet individual objectives for client service, sales, quality, and productivity.
  • Support initiatives aimed at building multi-client relationships.
  • Address client inquiries and concerns, resolve complaints, and escalate issues as necessary.

  • Utilize insights into client needs and situations to identify sales opportunities, demonstrating strong communication skills to convey messages clearly.

Requirements:

  • A General Insurance License is required or must be obtained within two months.
  • Fulfill all provincial licensing requirements in accordance with continuing education to obtain and maintain licenses.
  • One year of sales and service experience or related business experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with auto and property insurance products and experience in sales techniques is advantageous.

  • This role involves direct interaction with clients and/or service providers in their environments.
  • A valid driver's license, insurance, and potentially your own vehicle may be required.
  • Successful candidates will undergo a Criminal Record and Consumer History background check as a condition of employment.
