The Lac La Ronge Indian Band's Social Development Department is seeking a highly skilled Finance Officer to join their team. This permanent full-time position is based in La Ronge, SK, and reports to the Director of Social Development.
Key Responsibilities- Provide financial information from the computerized accounting system.
- Process transactions in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Administer and monitor the financial activities for the income assistance program.
- Prepare financial reports for various funding agencies.
- Maintain the computerized accounting system.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial records and reports.
- Diploma in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in full-cycle accounting and budgeting.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software and applications.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Knowledge of accepted accounting rules, practices, laws, and reporting requirements.
- Ability to interpret and implement company policies and procedures.
- Computer literate, including effective working knowledge and skills of MS Word, Excel, and e-mail.
