Job Summary

MDA is seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor to join our Satellite Systems team in Montreal. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal conduct of production activities and coaching the work team to meet quality, cost, and schedule requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead various teams related to operations logistics and production
  • Review program requirements, assess constraints, and resolve operational conflicts
  • Improve work methods and processes related to production
  • Advise program and line managers on conflicting resource demands
  • Assign production staff according to the established production schedule
  • Coach, train, and develop the skills of production staff
  • Monitor and expedite resource, material, and operational availability within quality standards
  • Communicate relevant information and develop team autonomy and efficiency
  • Perform supervisory duties of operations within specified areas and knowledge of collective agreements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations/Production Management, mechanical engineering, administration, or related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant management/supervision/control experience
  • Knowledge of electronic and mechanical technologies involved in space hardware production is an asset
  • Excellent understanding of planning tools and ERP logic
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Advanced interpersonal communication skills

Security Clearance

Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.
