The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join our Satellite Systems team in Montreal. As a key member of our production management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal conduct of production activities and coaching your team to meet the highest quality standards.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Operations/Production Management, mechanical engineering, administration, or a related discipline. A minimum of 5 years of relevant management/supervision/control experience is essential, preferably in a unionized environment. Your advanced Excel skills and excellent understanding of planning tools and ERP logic will also be valuable assets.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Lead various teams related to operations logistics and production
  • Review program requirements, assess constraints, and resolve operational conflicts
  • Improve work methods and processes related to production
  • Advise program and line managers on conflicting resource demands
  • Assign production staff according to the established production schedule
  • Couch, train, and develop the skills of the staff under supervision
  • Monitor and expedite resource, material, and operational availability within our quality standards
  • Communicate relevant information appropriately and develop the autonomy and efficiency of the team
  • Perform supervisory duties of operations within specified areas and with knowledge of the company's collective agreements

Special Considerations

You must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR. Please note that successful candidates may be required to undergo background checks as part of the hiring process.

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum
