Job Title: Production Supervisor
Job Summary:
MDA Space is seeking a Production Supervisor to join our Satellite Systems team in Montreal. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal conduct of production activities and coaching the work team to meet quality, cost, and schedule requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead various teams related to operations logistics and production
- Review program requirements and resolve operational conflicts
- Improve work methods and processes related to production
- Advise program and line managers on resource demands
- Assign production staff according to the production schedule
- Coach and train production staff to develop their skills
- Monitor and expedite resource, material, and operational availability
- Communicate relevant information and develop team autonomy
- Perform supervisory duties and provide guidance to the production team
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Operations/Production Management, mechanical engineering, administration, or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of relevant management/supervision/control experience
- Knowledge of electronic and mechanical technologies involved in space hardware production
- Excellent understanding of planning tools and ERP logic
- Advanced Excel skills
- Advanced interpersonal communication skills
Security Clearance: Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.
