The After-Hours Service Worker will play a critical role in providing crisis intervention services outside of regular Agency hours. This position requires a high level of emotional intelligence, effective communication skills, and a strong understanding of Anishinabek culture and traditions.
Key Responsibilities- Provide crisis intervention services to children, youth, and families in need
- Respond to allegations of child maltreatment and provide immediate protective services when required
- Work collaboratively with the After-Hours Supervisor and regular day staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders
- Bachelor of Social Work degree or Community College Diploma in Social Services
- Two (2) years' direct experience in a social services agency
- Knowledge of Niijaansinaanik Child and Family Services programs and services
- Respect for sensitivity towards Anishinabek culture, traditions, and the Seven Grandfather teachings
- Knowledge of First Nation service delivery, customs, and traditions
- Must provide a clear Police Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
- Must have a Class 'G' Ontario Driver's License, access to a vehicle, and the ability to travel
