Job Title: Drywall Installer and Finisher

Paradise Drywall Ltd. is seeking a skilled Drywall Installer and Finisher to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing and finishing drywall in various locations.

Work Environment

Our work environment is fast-paced and physically demanding, requiring you to work at heights, in dusty and noisy conditions. You will be working with a team of 3-4 people, and will be required to handle heavy loads and work under pressure.

Responsibilities
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife
  • Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets
  • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry
  • Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
  • Drywall Finisher Trade Certification
  • Occupational Health and Safety Certificate
  • Forklift Operator Certification
Preferred Qualifications
  • Green economy sector experience
  • Specialized environmental skills and knowledge
Transportation and Travel

You will be required to have a reliable vehicle for transportation to and from work sites.
