Drywall Installation Job Description

GARCHA DRYWALL LTD is seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team. As a Drywall Installation Specialist, you will be responsible for installing drywall sheets, finishing joints, and ensuring a smooth finish.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install drywall sheets, measuring, cutting, and fitting them to metal or wooden studs or joists.
  • Finish joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry.
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound.
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for installation.
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.
Requirements:
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in drywall installation.
  • Permanent employment.
  • 40 hours per week.
  • English as the primary language of work.

  • Bending, crouching, kneeling.
  • Hand-eye co-ordination.
  • Handling heavy loads.
  • Large workload.
  • Physically demanding.
  • Repetitive tasks.
  • Standing for extended periods.
