Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Superintendent to join our team at Lepine Apartments. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our properties, including maintenance, repairs, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of our buildings, including maintenance, repairs, and customer service.
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance and repair strategies to ensure the longevity of our properties.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of maintenance staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Conduct regular inspections of our properties to identify and address any maintenance or repair issues.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective maintenance and repairs.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to our residents, responding to their maintenance and repair requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including property management and administration, to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulations, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and standards.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a maintenance or superintendent role, with a strong background in facilities management.
  • WHMIS, Working at Heights, and Standard First Aid qualifications an asset.
  • Valid Ontario Class G Driver's License and a driving record acceptable to our insurer.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Fluency in English, with French an asset.
