Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Superintendent to join our team at PCL Constructors. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Site Operations: Oversee the management of site personnel, including superintendents, foremen, and laborers, to ensure efficient and safe working practices.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all construction work meets the required quality standards, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Safety Management: Develop and implement safety plans, conduct regular safety inspections, and ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations.
  • Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and other project team members to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of superintendents, foremen, and laborers to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve problems, conflicts, and issues that may arise during project delivery.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with project team members, clients, and stakeholders to ensure that all project information is shared and understood.
Requirements
  • Education: Journeyman certificate or post-secondary diploma/degree in a related discipline.
  • Experience: 15 years of progressive experience in field supervision, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and a thorough understanding of construction practices and procedures.
  • Certifications: NCSO designation (IND) and Gold Seal certification required (CDN), certificate in negotiation or equivalent experience.
