Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Law
  • Experience: 1 to 2 years in a relevant field
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal counsel to clients regarding their rights and obligations in real estate transactions.
  • Manage administrative tasks associated with legal practice.
  • Oversee management functions within the legal practice.
  • Represent clients in legal proceedings before courts and tribunals.
  • Prepare and draft legal documents, including opinions and government bills.
  • Advocate for the interests of clients in all legal matters related to real estate.
  • Serve as executor or trustee in estate matters.
  • Facilitate mediation and arbitration processes.
  • Administer departmental budgets effectively.
  • Supervise legal staff, including paralegals and interns.
  • Conduct workshops and training sessions on legal topics.
  • Research legal precedents and gather necessary evidence.
  • Engage in public education initiatives regarding legal rights.
  • Contribute to legal publications through writing and editing.
Supervision

Supervisory responsibilities for a team of 3-4 individuals.

Professional Requirements
  • Membership in a provincial or territorial law society is mandatory.
Technical Skills
  • Proficient in MS Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Windows, Word, and Project.
Work Environment
  • Fast-paced and high-pressure setting with tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail is crucial due to a large workload and caseload.
