About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Automation Specialist to join our team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in driving automation testing adoption across all levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain test automation frameworks for mobile and web applications using Appium and Selenium.
  • Provide training and support to development teams on test automation frameworks and best practices.
  • Collaborate with technical and business teams to identify opportunities for quality improvement and implement solutions.
  • Design and implement technical roadmaps to drive automation testing adoption and improve quality.
  • Coach and mentor team members to support career development and personal growth.
  • Participate in knowledge exchange forums and contribute to the development of best practices.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in software development and automated testing tools.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies (functional vs non-functional testing).
  • Experience working in agile teams using Scrum or Kanban.
  • Ability to execute QE activities within sprint and work closely with development and business teams.
  • Experience with cross-browser and cross-device testing for web and mobile applications.
  • Strong coding skills with Java, JavaScript, Python, or other relevant technologies.
  • Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins).
  • Experience with testing REST API and proficiency in API testing tools (Postman and Swagger).
