We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Deli Clerk at Your Independent Grocer. As a key member of our store team, you will play a vital role in providing an exceptional shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring the store shelves are stocked and responding to customer needs in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain and stock product displays and shelves to meet company standards, ensuring a visually appealing and well-organized store environment.
  • Ensure accurate product scanning and identify inventory needs to assist with ordering and minimize stockouts.
  • Setup and maintain company-directed promotions and programs to drive sales and customer engagement.
  • Ensure department areas are kept clean and tidy, adhering to health and safety standards.

Requirements:

  • A mature team player with a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
  • Resourceful and courteous when resolving customer questions and concerns, providing solutions and alternatives when necessary.
  • Motivated to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities to contribute to the success of the team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a retail or food service environment, particularly in a deli or customer-facing role.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and maintain a high level of mobility throughout the shift.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of hours, including days, evenings, and weekends, to meet the needs of the business.
