About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Engine Mechanic to join our team at CENTRE DU CAMION MONT-LAURIER 2009 INC. as a Heavy Truck Diesel Mechanic.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and Inspect Equipment: Utilize technical expertise to detect faults and malfunctions in diesel engines and heavy truck equipment.
  • Diagnose and Repair: Employ computerized and other testing equipment to diagnose faults and malfunctions, and perform repairs or replacements as needed.
  • Maintenance and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs, and ensure all work meets manufacturers' specifications.
  • Cleanliness and Safety: Ensure a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Heavy Truck Repair: Perform repair work on heavy trucks, including adjustments, replacements, and maintenance.
  • Attachments and Tools: Service attachments and working tools, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Emission Control Systems: Verify and repair emission control systems to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Routine Maintenance: Perform other routine maintenance tasks as required.
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset.
  • Certifications: Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding work environment.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
  • Manual Dexterity: Manual dexterity and ability to perform tasks that require bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Weight Handling: Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, dependable, and organized individual with strong judgement and reliability.
