Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Business Recruiting Partner to join our team at Miller Paving Limited. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for providing broad HR support to the business, partnering with business leaders and managers to develop people solutions that drive business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Workforce Planning: Partner with division leaders to develop strategic plans and annual plans, translating business needs into short, medium, and long-range workforce plans.
  • Talent Attraction, Recruitment & Selection: Evaluate recruitment needs, develop competency-based interviewing and scoring frameworks, and negotiate and roll out offers.
  • Employee Development: Analyze talent evaluation and performance reviews to identify high potentials and high performers, strengths, development needs, and gaps at individual and business levels.
  • Employee Relations: Support operations with best practices and interpretation of policies and contracts, managing employee investigations to mitigate legal liability.
  • Change Management: Anticipate business challenges and adapt HR delivery to support change, identifying best practices across business units and ensuring consistent application.
  • Corporate Governance: Mitigate legal liability by ensuring compliance with legislated and contractual obligations, designing mitigating measures and monitoring compliance with company policies and code of ethics.

Requirements:

  • Degree or diploma in Business Administration and/or a Human Resources related discipline.
  • HR designation is preferred.
  • 7+ years of relevant HR work experience within a Human Resources department, with at least 5 years in an HR Generalist capacity.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and experience with HRIS.
  • Ability to influence, establish rapport, and work with a diverse group of senior management and staff within a variety of businesses.
  • Proven experience working with both structured and unstructured organizations and matrixed environments.
  • High energy, a strong work ethic, resilience, and versatility with a results orientation.
  • Knowledge and experience with Labor relations, employment standards, and human rights legislation.
  • Ability to travel.
