Job Description

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Store Operations Manager to join our team at Sherwin-Williams. As a Store Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our store, ensuring it runs smoothly and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Business Strategies: Develop and implement business strategies to increase sales and optimize profitability, including identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Lead and Motivate Store Employees: Lead, motivate, and mentor store employees to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide excellent customer service and meet sales goals.
  • Ensure High Levels of Customer Satisfaction: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service, including responding to customer complaints and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Build and Maintain Product Knowledge: Build and maintain knowledge of all products to ensure effective customer recommendations and sales.
  • Build Positive Relationships with Customers: Build and maintain positive relationships with wholesale and retail customers, including identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Complete Store Administration: Complete store administration tasks, including managing inventory, processing transactions, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Ensure Compliance with Policies and Procedures: Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, including safety, loss prevention, and security protocols.
  • Maintain Outstanding Store Condition: Maintain an outstanding store condition, including visual merchandising standards, promotional packages, and sales floor displays.
  • Provide Accurate and Timely Reporting: Provide accurate and timely reporting as required, including sales data, customer feedback, and employee performance.
  • Manage Employee Training and Development: Manage employee training, development, performance management, and corrective action, including identifying areas for improvement and developing plans to address them.
  • Respond to and Resolve Customer and Employee Complaints: Respond to and resolve customer and employee complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Partner with Sales Reps: Partner with Sales Reps to make outside sales calls to increase market share and identify new business opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Leadership Experience: Must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role, supervising others, or leading teams.
  • Retail or Sales Experience: Must have at least one year of experience working in a retail, sales, or customer service position.
  • Education: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Paint and Paint-Related Products Experience: Have previous work experience selling paint and paint-related products.
  • Timekeeping and CRM Systems Experience: Have work experience using timekeeping and/or customer relationship management systems.
  • Associate Degree or Higher: Have an associate degree or higher in business, sales, or marketing.
  • Assistant Store or Branch Operations Manager Experience: Have at least one year of work experience as an Assistant Store or Branch Operations Manager for Sherwin-Williams.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language.
