About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Department Manager to join our team at RONA. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our department, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our store runs smoothly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Manage Team Members: Lead and motivate a team of employees to achieve sales goals and provide excellent customer service.
  • Merchandising and Inventory Management: Ensure that our store's inventory is accurately stocked and that our merchandise is visually appealing and well-organized.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Store Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the store, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and security.
  • Marketing and Promotions: Assist in the development and implementation of marketing and promotional strategies to drive sales and increase customer engagement.
  • Recruitment and Training: Assist in the recruitment and training of new employees, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in their roles.
Requirements
  • 5+ Years of Experience: Proven experience in a leadership role, preferably in a retail environment.
  • Strong Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and motivate a team, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with employees, customers, and management.
  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business principles and practices, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
