Position Overview

We are on the lookout for a bilingual credit analyst to enhance our dynamic team at our Montreal office. This role, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, encompasses various credit-related functions, including debt recovery and liquidity management, while ensuring adherence to internal controls and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with sales, customer service, inventory, and billing teams to manage customer transactions, which include printing, verifying, dispatching, and recording invoices and credit notes.
- Process bank deposits and manage credit card transactions efficiently.
- Oversee accounts receivable collections as necessary.
- Prepare and distribute monthly statements to customers.
- Establish and monitor customer credit limits and payment terms in accordance with company policies.
- Maintain accurate customer records and documentation.
- Provide assistance to advisors as required.
- Follow up with customers to ensure timely payments and address any discrepancies.
- Manage all customer account transactions and inter-company accounting entries.
- Open new accounts, verify credit histories, and set appropriate credit limits.
- Respond to inquiries from both internal and external stakeholders.
- Keep a detailed record of all customer account disputes.
- Document daily collection efforts and ensure compliance with agreements.
- Handle contract terminations and maintain relevant correspondence.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Qualifications
- Accounting Diploma.
- 2-5 years of experience in a similar capacity.
- Credit management training is advantageous.
- General accounting knowledge is beneficial.
- Proficiency in Excel and complex accounting systems within a Windows environment.
- Bilingualism in French and English is mandatory.
- Demonstrated autonomy, initiative, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
- A collaborative team player with a strong customer service focus.
- Flexibility in salary based on experience and achievement of goals.
- Weekly compensation structure.
- Standard working hours: Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
