Position Overview

We are on the lookout for a bilingual credit analyst to enhance our dynamic team at our Montreal office. This role, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, encompasses various credit-related functions, including debt recovery and liquidity management, while ensuring adherence to internal controls and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with sales, customer service, inventory, and billing teams to manage customer transactions, which include printing, verifying, dispatching, and recording invoices and credit notes.
  • Process bank deposits and manage credit card transactions efficiently.
  • Oversee accounts receivable collections as necessary.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly statements to customers.
  • Establish and monitor customer credit limits and payment terms in accordance with company policies.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and documentation.
  • Provide assistance to advisors as required.
  • Follow up with customers to ensure timely payments and address any discrepancies.
  • Manage all customer account transactions and inter-company accounting entries.
  • Open new accounts, verify credit histories, and set appropriate credit limits.
  • Respond to inquiries from both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Keep a detailed record of all customer account disputes.
  • Document daily collection efforts and ensure compliance with agreements.
  • Handle contract terminations and maintain relevant correspondence.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Accounting Diploma.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a similar capacity.
  • Credit management training is advantageous.
  • General accounting knowledge is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in Excel and complex accounting systems within a Windows environment.
  • Bilingualism in French and English is mandatory.
  • Demonstrated autonomy, initiative, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
  • A collaborative team player with a strong customer service focus.
  • Flexibility in salary based on experience and achievement of goals.
  • Weekly compensation structure.
  • Standard working hours: Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
