Job Summary

Sundine Produce Inc. is seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods over long distances.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload goods from the trailer, ensuring that all cargo is properly secured and accounted for.
  • Perform Emergency Roadside Repairs: Respond to and resolve any mechanical issues that may arise during transit, ensuring that the vehicle is safe to operate.
  • Perform Pre-Trip, En Route, and Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of the vehicle to ensure that it is in good working condition, and that all necessary documentation is up to date.
  • Operate GPS and Navigation Equipment: Utilize GPS and other navigation systems to optimize routes and ensure timely delivery of goods.
Requirements
  • Certifications and Licenses: Possess a valid Air Brake (Z) Endorsement and a Driver's License (Class 3 or D).
  • Experience: Previous experience as a truck driver is an asset, but not required.
  • Physical Demands: The physical demands of this role include sitting for extended periods, lifting up to 9 kg (20 lbs), and working in a fast-paced environment.
