Software Developer

We are seeking a skilled RPG Programmer to join our team and contribute to the modernization of existing applications with one of the market leaders in IBM i (AS/400) solutions.
About the RoleAs an RPG Programmer, you will participate in a large-scale modernization project, implementing and adapting current applications for integration and/or new features. Your expertise will be essential in automating business processing issues through technology and ensuring seamless integration with our clients' systems.
Key Responsibilities- Represent our client in a positive manner, conveying an ethical approach to business situations and promoting our client to customers, team members, and the market.
- Develop and implement complex batch and inquiry/maintenance programs using RPGIV, RPGLE, DDS, and CL Programming.
- Estimate programming effort involved, adjust as conditions change, and develop test plans to ensure user requirements are met.
- Establish documentation requirements and promote strict adherence, identifying, analyzing, and confirming problems and their causes, and providing solutions.
- Effectively communicate status reports to project managers, tailoring technical communications to the audience and successfully documenting module, application, system-level, and/or business-level objectives.
- Sound knowledge of platform utilities.
- Knowledge of the JD Edwards operating system and familiarity with basic data communication terminology and communication functions, including client access.
- Strong RPG programming coding techniques and database techniques.
