About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Security Engineer to join our analytics cloud security team. As a Security Engineer, you will work closely with Cloud Architecture teams to ensure adherence to security, risk, and governance needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze security test results and apply them to target environments
  • Understand and articulate security risks and issues associated with infrastructure
  • Conduct and manage vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and compliance audits
  • Contribute to hands-on coding, design, test, and architecture to deliver best solutions
  • Collaborate with a team that extends to remote locations and various lines of businesses
  • Assess new technology, tools, and infrastructure to stay up-to-date with rapid change
  • Embrace lean and agile software development principles

Requirements

  • 2+ years of Security Engineer experience
  • Ability to work well in a team and independently with a positive attitude
  • Programming skills in Javascript, Java, or Python (or equivalent)
  • Working knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and OO design principles
  • Understanding of databases and web application servers
  • Knowledge of software security, authentication mechanisms, cryptography, and security breaches
  • IT security knowledge, including system and network security, firewalls, IPS, and proxies
  • Experience with products for networking analysis and scanning (e.g., Nmap, Wireshark, Zap, BurpSuite)
  • Prior experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP is preferred but not mandatory
