Associate Professor/Professor Position

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified Associate Professor/Professor to join our faculty in the Department of Political Science at the University of Toronto. The successful candidate will have a strong research background in Black Political Thought and a proven track record of excellence in teaching and research.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Political Science, with a focus on Black Political Thought
  • Conduct research in Black Political Thought, with a focus on political thought from Africa, the Caribbean, Latin America, Canada, the United States, Europe, or other parts of the world
  • Develop and maintain an externally funded research program
  • Contribute to the department's research and teaching initiatives
Requirements:
  • PhD degree in Political Science or a related discipline
  • Strong research background in Black Political Thought
  • Proven track record of excellence in teaching and research
  • Ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Political Science
  • Ability to develop and maintain an externally funded research program
