Your Role and ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a proactive individual ready to embrace stimulating challenges in the role of Human Resources Business Partner. This position will involve:
- Contributing to the development and dissemination of the organization's vision, while mobilizing and influencing the values expressed by leaders to foster a culture of performance and recognition.
- Establishing robust relationships with leaders across various employee groups, ensuring collaboration and a human-centric approach in decision-making, as well as fairness in the implementation of practices and collective agreements. Providing coaching and development opportunities will also be key.
- Gaining a comprehensive understanding of the organization's operations and needs, identifying human resources strategies, implementing and monitoring performance metrics, analyzing gaps, and deploying value-added activities or initiatives in alignment with priorities set by leadership.
- Ensuring compliance with legal standards and overseeing human resources programs and policies, as well as their application by managers across different employee groups.
- Identifying and implementing strategies and plans for recruitment, pay equity, salary and benefits administration, labor relations, training, and development, based on organizational needs and industry trends.
- Participating in or chairing various committees, such as those focused on pension plans, labor relations, grievances, skills development, and francization.
- Collaborating with the leadership team to identify change management and continuous improvement initiatives for Human Resources services, ensuring effective deployment and support for various stakeholders.
- Upholding the company's core values of safety and integrity, which entails taking responsibility for one's actions while caring for colleagues and the organization.
- A Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, particularly in a unionized environment. Membership in the Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines agréés is advantageous.
- Essential experience in HR functions, with additional experience in Merger & Acquisitions considered a plus.
- A collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset, complemented by strong oral and written communication skills, with bilingual proficiency in French and English. Proficiency in French is required, as is the ability to communicate in English with external customers.
- Excellent team-building capabilities and a promoter of collaboration across multiple sites.
- Ability to analyze, influence, and make decisions that ensure strategic alignment and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
- Results-oriented with a proven ability to effectively plan work and meet deadlines.
- In-depth knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to human resources management and occupational health and safety.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and a capacity for learning and utilizing various systems.
- A willingness to work in the office four times a week.
- Engage in anticipating, sensing, and responding to technological trends.
- Assist clients in enhancing efficiency and sustainability, making a significant impact.
- Leverage your knowledge and expertise to make a difference in technology.
