About the Role

Azran Lawyers, a leading law firm in Montreal, is seeking a skilled Civil Litigation Lawyer to join our team. As a key member of our litigation department, you will play a crucial role in representing clients in court, managing cases, and developing effective legal strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Judicial Representation: Represent clients in civil litigation matters, including contract disputes, tort claims, and real estate disputes, with professionalism and determination.
  • Legal Strategy: Develop solid legal strategies to maximize clients' chances of success, analyzing facts, evaluating evidence, and proposing tailored solutions.
  • Case Management: Ensure the complete management of customer files, from opening to closing, ensuring each file is properly organized, updated, and ready for hearings or negotiations.
  • Drafting of Legal Documents: Draft legal documents such as complaints, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements, ensuring all documents meet legal standards and court requirements.
  • Settlement Negotiation: Negotiate out-of-court settlements to avoid lengthy and costly lawsuits, while protecting clients' interests.
  • Communication with Clients: Maintain regular and transparent communication with clients, keeping them informed of file progress and answering questions with clarity and empathy.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil litigation is required.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in French and English, with excellent written and oral communication skills in both languages.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex legal situations and propose innovative solutions to resolve disputes.
  • Personal Qualities: Rigor, sense of organization, autonomy, and ability to work under pressure, with excellent negotiating skills and collaboration with team members.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in technological tools for case management and legal research.
