About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Rocky Mountain Village in Fernie, BC. As a key member of our Village Nursing Care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Foster a warm and caring environment for residents and colleagues.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive care plans tailored to individual resident needs.
  • Participate in decision-making related to health and safety, resident care, and staffing.
  • Provide direct nursing care, including medication administration and medical procedures.
  • Coordinate nursing team assignments to ensure efficient delivery of services.
  • Lead and mentor staff to promote resident care excellence.
Requirements
  • Current LPN registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives.
  • Experience in Assisted Living or Long-Term Care an asset.
  • Working knowledge of MDS/InterRAI.
  • Level 1 OFA First Aid Certificate.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven computer skills.
  • Team-player with physical capability to perform job duties.
  • Successful clearance of a Vulnerable Sector - Criminal Record Check.
  • Proof of negative TB Screening Test and Immunization records.
  • Proof of full and current COVID-19 vaccinations or approved exemption.
