Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a qualified Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Golden Life Management Corporation. As a LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Fostering a warm and caring environment for residents and colleagues;
  • Ensuring comprehensive care plans are developed, updated, and regularly evaluated for effectiveness;
  • Participating in decision-making relating to health and safety, resident care, and staffing;
  • Providing direct nursing care, including administration of medications, medical treatments, and procedures as per provincial regulations and established policies and procedures;
  • Completing and ensuring resident clinical care assessments and plans are documented and accurate;
  • Coordinating nursing team's resident care assignments to ensure efficient and timely delivery of services to residents;
  • Providing leadership and direction to staff involved in the provision of resident care by mentoring and role modeling, fostering and promoting new initiatives;
Requirements:

The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:

  • Current LPN registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives;
  • Experience in Assisted Living or Long-Term Care an asset;
  • Working knowledge of MDS/InterRAI;
  • Level 1 OFA First Aid Certificate;
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills;
  • Proven computer skills;
  • A team-player;
  • Physical capability to perform the duties of the position;
  • Successful clearance of a Vulnerable Sector - Criminal Record Check;
  • Proof of negative TB Screening Test and Immunization records;
  • Proof of full and current COVID-19 vaccinations or approved exemption for an accommodation based on a reason related to human rights;
