Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Supervisor to join our team at DSI Food Corporation. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of goods and materials into and out of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate Activities: Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of activities.
  • Prepare and Submit Reports: Develop and submit regular reports to management on inventory levels, shipping and receiving activities, and other key metrics.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Arrange for maintenance and repair work to be performed on equipment and facilities as needed.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Staff Management: Recruit, hire, train, and manage a team of shipping and receiving staff.
  • Training and Development: Develop and implement training programs to ensure staff are equipped to perform their duties effectively.
  • Performance Reviews: Conduct regular performance reviews to assess staff performance and provide feedback for improvement.
  • Work Scheduling: Establish and manage work schedules to ensure adequate staffing and efficient use of resources.
  • Operational Logistics: Plan, organize, and oversee the operational logistics of the organization, including inventory management and supply chain coordination.
Work Environment

This is a fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and prioritize tasks to meet tight deadlines.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a shipping and receiving or logistics role.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
