Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and creative Community Manager to join our growing team. This role is vital in cultivating, managing, and engaging our exclusive community of wine, spirits, and food enthusiasts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Community Building and Engagement
    • Cultivate and nurture a welcoming, vibrant, and engaged online and offline community of Barrel Hunter Club members.
    • Develop and implement strategies to grow our membership base, especially focusing on promoting higher-tier memberships.
    • Organize and manage discussions, Q&A sessions, and virtual events within our community, encouraging active participation.
  • Content Creation and Communication
    • Create and distribute engaging and valuable content tailored to our members (e.g., newsletters, social media posts, event announcements).
    • Work closely with our marketing and content teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all platforms.
    • Stay up to date with trends in the wine, spirits, and luxury goods sectors to offer relevant and interesting content to our community.
  • Event Support and Coordination
    • Assist in coordinating exclusive member events, such as bi-monthly tastings and in-person collection launch events.
    • Provide onsite and remote support during events, ensuring member satisfaction and smooth operations.
    • Help manage the logistics and RSVP processes for events to ensure a premium experience for all attendees.
  • Member Support and Relationship Building
    • Be the primary point of contact for community members, answering questions and providing exceptional customer service.
    • Maintain strong, personal relationships with members, especially with high-tier members.
    • Support new members in onboarding to the club, ensuring they are fully integrated into the community and aware of all benefits.
    Requirements
    • 2+ years of experience in community management, social media management, or a similar role.
    • Passion for wine, spirits, and/or luxury experiences, with the ability to engage with enthusiasts authentically.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
    • Bilingual in French and English.
    • Located in Quebec or Ontario with the ability to travel to Toronto and Montreal 4 to 6 times per year for a period of 24 to 48 hours.
    • Demonstrated ability to grow and nurture an engaged community.
    • Experience with event planning and coordination, especially within premium or luxury environments.
    • Familiarity with social media platforms and digital community-building tools.
    • Self-motivated, highly organized, and able to work both independently and within a team.
    Nice-to-Have
    • Knowledge of the wine and spirits industry, with a WSET certification or similar.
    • Experience working with membership-based organizations, particularly those with tiered membership levels.
    • Ability to travel for events as required.
