About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned leader to join our team as the Director of Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (IDEA) at Strides Toronto.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide strategic leadership for the planning and implementation of IDEA initiatives, utilizing an anti-racism and anti-oppression framework.
  2. Lead the advancement of Strides Toronto's strategy related to health equity and implement best practices in IDEA, ARAO, and anti-Black racism across the organization.
  3. Serve as an organizational champion for IDEA initiatives and foster a positive learning environment dedicated to IDEA.
  4. Act as a resource to team members on IDEA principles and work closely with senior leadership to ensure EDI best practices are reflected in Corporate Services.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  1. Senior leadership experience with historically marginalized communities.
  2. Understanding of IDEA best practices in not-for-profit environments.
  3. Rich understanding of ARAO frameworks.
  4. Bachelor's degree in human rights, equity, diversity, social justice, or social work.
