Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at Peel Logistics Inc. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely operating a variety of heavy vehicles to transport goods and materials across different routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Heavy Vehicles: Drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload goods, taking care to secure cargo and prevent damage during transit.
  • Inspect Vehicles: Regularly inspect vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition, checking tires, lights, brakes, and other essential systems.
  • Communicate with Dispatch: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring seamless communication and coordination with our team.
  • Record Important Data: Accurately record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption to maintain accurate records.
Requirements
  • Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid driver's license, including any necessary endorsements or certifications.
  • Experience: Previous experience as a truck driver, preferably with a reputable logistics company.
  • Physical Demands: Be able to sit for extended periods, work in a fast-paced environment, and lift heavy objects as required.
