We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at Fraser Health, providing high-quality care to older adults with chronic conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct occupational therapy assessments, consultations, and interventions to maximize physical function and promote independence and safety in older adults.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individual treatment goals and provide education to clients, caregivers, and staff.
- Prescribe and recommend adaptive aids and equipment to enhance daily living skills.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of direct clinical care and education, and provide input to improve service efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide education and training on independent living skills, occupational performance, and environmental adaptations.
- Consult with experts, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and evaluate clinical practice to enhance evidence-based care.
- Graduation from an approved school of Occupational Therapy.
- One year recent, clinical related experience in working with older and/or geriatric clients.
- Current full registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of BC (COTBC) and eligibility for membership in the BC Society of Occupational Therapists and/or Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists.
- Valid BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for business-related purposes.
